what's the hold up?

Michael Giacchino said over two weeks ago that he'd release Roar! (Cloverfield Overture) via iTunes or Amazon some way "by the week's end". Well, that was a few weekends ago. What's the hold up? iTunes does have a "music from Cloverfield" soundtrack but it's just the mix from the party scenes.

Some one on Yahoo!Answers told me they saw it on iTunes under some cd called "rob's party mix" but I think they're pulling my tail as I can find no such thing.

And yes I do have that craptastic bootleg that was recorded in-theaters and I refuse to listen to it. I tried, and it's just too damn awful. :( It only stays on my desktop cause I'm lazy and need to clean it off there.

Cloverfield Forums

So I know that a lot of you probably already have your places to go to as far as Cloverfield forums go, but I recently decided to retire the blog aspect of projectcloverfield.com, and am now directing users to a new forum.

I namely did this because some of my loyal viewers wanted it, since it would make posting/replying a lot easier than in some comments.

Anyway, it's a baby (just put it up yesterday) so if you feel like joining, please do so :)

Monster toys coming soon.

Hasbro is taking orders for their Cloverfield monster toy.

Cloverfield Monster Features:

* 70 points of articulation and incredible life-like detail
* Authentic sound
* 14” tall
* 10 parasites
* Two interchangeable heads
* Statue of Liberty head accessory
* Special Cloverfield collector’s edition packaging

It sounds cool but I think $100 is a bit much.

Poll-esque thing

So I saw cloverfield the day it was released, I mean I had been waiting to see it for nearly 5 months just to see it, and it astonishes me that I hear a-lot of people don't like it. I just came to ask an opinion so I can better my understanding.

Do you think that the people who spent those 5 months researching and trying to find clues to what the movie was about, the people who dedicated there time to finding anything and everything that could lead us somewhere, do you think they will have appreciated it more than the people who did no research?

I mean... I know for a fact that the kids in my class who said this movie was crap and the tabloids who say it was crap didn't do nearly as much research as we did on this community. Seriously, was it just me or was EVERYONE excited for this movie to come out? To them it was just another movie, to us, I'm sure it was the greatest movie of the year!

Let me know what you think!
chi // this is fun!!

Anyone here roleplay?

Because a friend and I are starting a LiveJournal RPG based on Cloverfield. =3 It's a survival/horror rpg set in Manhattan with our big friend the monster stomping around, and possibly some evil corporation plots going on in the background. It's multifandom so you can play anyone you want. You don't actually need to have seen Cloverfield to join, but it's definitely best appreciated by Cloverfield fans, so we hope to see some of you there. :D

Check out info, rules, application, etc here.

(no subject)

So, I just saw the movie yesterday, and I'm so happy to see I'm not the ONLY one who liked it. My boyfriend thought it was alright, but certainly wasn't as awed by it as I was.

Anyway, I've been reading this community and others around the web for about an hour, trying to get more info about the movie, and my head is spinning. I'm a bit confused, and excited.

Sorry to ask but...
